Dr. Oscar Arango Pietersz 

Dr. Oscar Arango Pietersz graduated as a Dental surgeon from the University of Costa Rica. Upon graduation he then took post-graduate studies in 1985 at the Maxillofacial Surgery Center in Medical Sciences of the University of Puerto Rica. In 1988 Dr. Arango took a sabbatical studies at the Pacific Research Foundation and Facial – Jaw Surgery in San Diego, California USA; in the areas of Distraction Osteogenesis, Temporomandibular Articulation, Lip Deformities and Cleft Palate; specializing later in Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Chile 1990-92. 

Dr. Arango is currently a Professor at the Faculty of Dentistry of the University of Costa Rica and a Professor of Surgery at the UCIMED School of Medicine.

Dr. Arango is also a Founding Member of the Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (1992); member of the International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (1992), member of the Rotary International Thousand Smiles Foundation for Cleft lip and Palate in San Diego, California and San José Costa Rica (1992), member of the Latin American Association of Maxillofacial Surgery (1994) and the Colombian Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
